The 2026 Ningbo City Image Exhibition · Germany Screening concluded on July 15 at Berlin's Sinema Transtopia Cinema, marking the sixth and final international stop for the traveling initiative. The event drew nearly 100 participants from Berlin's cultural sector, including film practitioners, curators, and university faculty.

The exhibition operated under the thematic framework "Integration of Land and Sea, Charm in Frames" and comprised three programmatic components: a Ningbo-themed short film screening, a post-screening cultural salon, and a Ningbo Culture Showcase. The structure positioned visual media as the primary vehicle for cross-cultural dialogue, moving beyond conventional trade-focused exchange models.

The Berlin iteration represented an effort to establish institutional connections between Ningbo, a port city in China's Zhejiang Province, and Germany's cultural establishment. By targeting curatorial and academic audiences rather than general publics, organizers prioritized professional network-building and long-term cultural infrastructure development.

The exhibition's overseas tour cycle completion signals a potential transition point for how Chinese municipalities conduct cultural diplomacy in Europe. The selection of Sinema Transtopia Cinema—a venue specializing in international and experimental cinema—indicated curation toward art-world gatekeepers rather than mass audiences, a strategic choice that may shape how subsequent city-branding initiatives approach European markets.
